讲座嘉宾简介

黄荣兵，加拿大约克大学管理研究学院教授。长期从事数学、决策科学及信息管理工程领域的教育研究与相关教学工作，主要研究方向是供应链管理。担任Transportation Research等17类期刊或会议的审稿人，是管理科学及运筹学研究所（INFORMS）和加拿大工程学会（CORS）的会员。并在国际权威刊物International Journal of Production Economics, IIE Transactions, Transportation Sciences, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, OR Letters等发表20余篇高质量学术论文。

讲座主要内容

With increased consciousness on environment protection, green supply chain management, which has its roots in both environment management and supply chain management, has gained great interest among researchers and practitioners of operations and supply chain management. Government regulations and legislations play an important role in stimulating firms to produce low carbon products instead of high carbon products. Two common beliefs about mergers are accepted by academics and practitioners. First, horizontal integration reduces competition and thus causes a loss in social welfare. Second, vertical integration of members will make the supply chain better off. However, we find that, with government intervention, neither belief might not be justified.
